Authentication storage
Storage: Secure session cookies
Purpose: Keep signed-in users authenticated and protect account requests.
Duration: Session and refresh periods controlled by the authentication service.
Control: Required for account features.
duewise-language
Storage: Cookie
Purpose: Remember the interface language selected by the user.
Duration: Up to 12 months.
Control: May be cleared in browser settings.
dw_device
Storage: First-party cookie plus a server-side one-way hash
Purpose: Prevent repeated abuse of the introductory free-check offer.
Duration: Cookie duration set by the service; anonymised server hash retained for up to 24 months after account deletion.
Control: Strictly necessary for the free-check protection mechanism.
duewise-analytics-consent
Storage: Local storage
Purpose: Remember whether optional analytics was accepted or rejected.
Duration: Until the choice is changed or browser storage is cleared.
Control: Strictly necessary to respect the user's selection.
Optional product analytics
Storage: Cookies and local storage created only after acceptance
Purpose: Measure page use and product journeys so Duewise can improve.
Duration: Controlled by the analytics configuration and cleared when analytics is rejected.
Control: Off by default. Accept or reject below or from Account.
Limited anti-abuse use
Duewise may process device and network risk signals to protect accounts, rate limits and the one-free-check rule. These signals are not used for advertising. Durable records use one-way hashes rather than raw identifiers and are handled separately from public feedback.
